Social factors and health of parents of children with special needs

Dear all,

We are inviting parents of children up to the age of 18 with special needs to assist in a research project in which we are exploring the social factors that may impact the health outcomes of parents.

Who can participate?  If you are the parent of a child under the age of eighteen with special needs. The special needs can include cognitive difficulties, developmental, physical or sensory difficulties, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and difficulties with speech and language.

If you would like to be involved, we will ask you to complete a questionnaire (this should take approximately 20 minutes). All information you give will be confidential and only the researcher will have access to your information. You have the option of completing the questionnaire online: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VSGGXF6 if the link does not open here please copy and paste to your browser. mixed_2Fun and Functional Therapeutic Beanbags

www.sensorybeans.com Children and adults alike love the feeling and softness of these hand made therapeutic beanbags which, through their design, are tactile to address sensory needs.  Right from the conceptual stage, these sensory needs were forefront and the product reflects this.  According to Linda Baker (Occupational Therapist) ‘The center of the therapy revolves around the beanbag, it gives the child a safe place to be, while doing their therapeutic routine‘.
