Working towards inclusivity

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

More than 40 organisations have signed up as business partners with the National Institute for Intellectual Disability, to promote inclusion and diversity in the workplace.

The new partners at the institute, which is based at Trinity College Dublin, include Chartered Accountants Ireland and online recruiter Irishjobs.ie. Speaking at the launch of the initiative, Leslie Buckley, chairman of Irish Jobs.ie described them as “forward thinking companies who strongly believe in harnessing potential and talent from all parts of society”. The partner firms will provide funding to the institute as well as work experience placements and other supports for students from the Institute’s Certficate in Contemporary Living.
